Cost of Living in Bali (Low end)

I hope today to share some cost of living resources for those looking to relocate to Bali for a while.


I am actually yet to visit Bali, so the numbers provided below are merely estimates discovered during my research.

It seems for low end:

Kost (accommodation): 1.5m - 8m IDR per month. You should be able to find something decent for under $500 per month, maybe not in a prime location but not too far away

Food: It seems 30-100k per meal and about 30k per beer should do it.

Visa: $25 USD per 30 days

Internet: Seems to be about 150-200k a month

There seem to be a lot of people that say it is possible to live long term on around $800 per month but that would have to assume bottom end accommodation, street food and not much alcohol. It seems that is a very small amount of money for anywhere in the world but it may be possible depending on your living requirements.
