Living in Bali for a while

Hi

I have been doing some research lately into Bali, Indonesia.

One of the key benefits of Bali is that the visa situation is a lot less complicated than Thailand. It appears that citizens of most countries can receive a visa on arrival for a month - which can then be extended for another month at immigration. Effectively with 6 visa runs a year to cheap neighbouring countries you should be able to live in Bali on a more or less permanent basis.

It appears that Bali is an extremely cheap place to live as long as you are prepared to live in basic accommodation called Kosts / eat at local warungs (street food style restaurants).

The research I have conducted suggests that internet can be a bit sub-par at times but I have seen many recommendations for "Smart" mobile internet and also "Biznet".

Will continue to look into Bali as a digital nomad destination. There appear to now be a number of start ups and digital nomads working out of Bali, which appears to be consistent with the trend of digital nomads in Thailand etc.

Thank you for reading!
