Cha Am

While most people know about the standard retirement spots in Thailand, one area that I have come across is Cha Am.


I am yet to be fortunate enough to visit but from what I hear it is great. A smaller version of Hua Hin I am told, often frequented by the Thais.

The beach apparently can get packed on weekends with Thais, however the Thais also help to keep the prices down- so things should be cheaper there when compared to the touristy areas.

For those who are looking to move to Thailand in the future, it might be worth checking Cha Am out. I hear of a lot of people moving to the north due to costs, but perhaps this could be a way to be near the beach without breaking the bank!
